Gene’s 40th Birthday

By March 30, 2015 General, Video Blog

As many of you know, my father died at 44. He was diagnosed with Leukemia at age 39. The same age I was until March 19th of this year. Mentally, this was a big hurdle for me. I was happy to get ‘out of 39’ so that I could exorcise that demon from my conscious (there are more to tackle from here on out, but that is for another post). That was until I was faced with the fact that I WAS FORTY. I digress. My beautiful, brilliant wife collected some video clips of some of the dearest people in my life wishing me a happy 40th. Definitely one of the top 5 gifts I have ever received (certainly outside of her love and my 2 girls). I THANK everyone involved; my brothers and sisters, in-laws, aunts, uncles, grandmothers, and many, many more. This video truly makes me want to be a better man. I hope you enjoy it 1/50th as much as I do EVERY SINGLE TIME I HIT PLAY. Godspeed.
